BLOOMINGTON
Dustin Allen Fisher, age 33, of Bloomington, and formerly of Brownstown, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at I.U. Bloomington Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Dustin was a lifetime member of Brownstown First Baptist Church. He was a cook at Indiana Center for Recovery, Bloomington Gourmet Catering.
Dustin loved spending time with his children, as they were his “pride and joy”. He also loved nature, being outside, listening to music, hiking, fishing, and playing with his dog, Max.
Born on September 11, 1988, in Bedford, he was the son of Doug and Lori (Hanner) Fisher, who survive in Brownstown.
Survivors also include one son, Landon Fisher of Medora; one daughter, Lakota Fisher of Medora; one brother, Dolan (Lorelynn) Fisher, of Clarksville, Tennessee; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Beverley and Dwight DeWitt of Brownstown; mother of his children, Kayla Collins of Medora; aunts and uncles: Debbie (David) Simmons, Kevin (Sara) Hanner, Danette (Max) Mensendiek, and David (Misty) Fisher; and several cousins.
Dustin was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Edward Lee Hanner; and his paternal grandparents, David and Carolyn Fisher.
Funeral services for Dustin Allen Fisher will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor Mitchell McIntyre officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
