Prayer
- Location: Church
When we come to God and confess our sins, we will be forgiven and experience freedom and joy. Confession is more than just saying sorry; it’s letting go of our sin and transgression and putting it into the hands of God.
We appolaogize for the audio and video problems throughout the above (live) Sunday service. Because it was not a good recording, we went back and re-recorded as part 3 of the 4 part series with a few highlghts and songs for that day 7/24/2022 (below).
We had some difficulties with the July 24th worship service. Above is the sermon (redone) to add to our series.
Confession of our sin is so foundational to our faith. Unconfessed sin will permanently keep us out of an eternal relationship with God, but when we confess our sin to Him, He is faithful to forgive it and our position in Christ will be eternally secure.
Once we have confessed sin before God, and asked for forgiveness and accepted Christ as our Savior and Lord, we can move into an ongoing relationship with the Father. However, even though our sin has been forgiven, we must still confess ongoing habitual sin before God so that our relationship with Him will continue to grow and that we will be able to become more like Christ.
Please watch the video, and if you have any questions please reach out to me on Facebook, or through this church website or on Sunday morning before or after our 10:00 worship service.
In Christ, Pastor Darrin
5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. 8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.
