Can You Really Believe the Gospel?
- Location: Church
This is a re-recording of the message from August 14th. We were unable to record the service that day due to some technical difficulties, but wanted to make the message available. This is the first sermon in the new series on the book of 1 John, and includes an introduction to the book, why and to whom it was written, and then goes over the first four verses in chapter 1.
During the message, I gave several examples of how a true Believer can share their faith with others. If you would like to know more about this, please reach out to me and I will help you in this area. If you hear this message and are unsure of your position in Christ, whether or not you KNOW that you are saved, please reach out and we will also work through that.
Please listen to this, and give feedback to me. Noting can replace hearing the Word preached during the Sunday morning gathering, and I encourage all of you to do your best to be in attendance if at all possible. But I am thankful to God for the ability we have to record messages like this for those who need to go back and hear the message again, and for those who were unable to attend live.
In Christ,
Pastor Darrin
Have you ever thought about the promises of the Gospel and questioned if they are actually true? We are going to be beginning a sermon series through the New Testament letter 1 John and are going to be asking this question and so many more.
In 1 John 5:13, the author concludes his letter by telling the reader that he has written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.
It is my hope that this weekend, as well as over the next few weeks, that we can KNOW that we have eternal life, and fellowship, and true joy in our lives through Jesus Christ.
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life— 2 the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us— 3 that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.4 And these things we write to you that your joy may be full.
