1 John 1:7
The epistle (letter) of 1 John was written by the apostle John, one of the twelve disciples called by Jesus, and one of the three in the ‘inner circle’ along with his brother James and Peter. John was the only one of the disciples that lived to an old age, and he served as the overseer to the church in Ephesus as well as the other churches in Asia Minor.
The book of 1 John has relationships as a central focus – both the Believer’s relationship with God and our relationship with other Believers. In this letter, John tells us the truth about relationships and shows us how to have fellowship with God as well as other Believers that are real – for both now and for eternity.

Love flows from knowing God and shapes how we love others.

Faith in Jesus secures our eternal identity and victory.

We can live with certainty about our salvation and God’s presence.
